The Production Technician Sr. reports to the Maintenance Director of the Infrastructure, Offsites, and Utilities portion of the Shale Gas Projects. This is a temporary position, and will last through the duration of the project. This position is responsible for supporting the IOU manufacturing representatives with field installation during IOU construction. This position will assist with detail engineering from a field knowledge standpoint. In preparation for construction, the position will prepare all isolation procedures and operations plans for installation, construction permitting, and commissioning. In conjunction with the utilities department, this position will coordinate startup of their respective utility areas with the Utility department and site. Responsibilities include:
: Review the schedule of engineering and construction activities and coordinate field activities ahead in preparation of those activities
: Provide Tier One support for detail design efforts
: Create job plans for the effective execution of work
: Forward completed ready:to:schedule job packages to the Scheduler
: Continually improve the execution plans by participating in schedule reviews, execution discussions, etc.
Qualifications : BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
Associate Degree in Applied Process Technology, or a High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and a minimum of 8+ years Production Technician experience in a chemical/petrochemical or similiar manufacturing environment required.
: Must possess understanding of construction scheduling
: Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license.
: Experience with SAP preferred
: Leadership experience preferred
: Utilities experience preferred
: Ability to create and articulate operations procedures
: The successful candidate will have excellent organizational and work management skills, keen attention to detail, and strong communication skills
: The successful candidate will be able to deal effectively with the unknown and unexpected and possess the ability to handle non:routine and emergency activities (schedule breakers, plant shutdowns, start:ups, etc.).
: Basic computer skills and a comfort level in working with computers are necessary.
: Successful candidate must be able to pass the BASF pre:employment test.
This position requires all candidates to either currently possess or obtain and maintain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) Card from the U. S. Department of Homeland Security.
